Product concept for UC-San Diego Certification
This assignment was the capstone project for the 40-week Interaction Design Specialization which I completed at the University of California at San Diego through Coursera’s online platform. The course of study contains 8 courses covering the following topics:
• Human-Centered Design: an Introduction
• Design Principles
• Social Computing
• Input and Interaction
• User Experience: Research & Prototyping
• Information Design
• Designing, Running, and Analyzing Experiments
• Interaction Design Capstone Project
The program focuses on human-computer interaction with an emphasis on discovering and defining a quality user experience and how this fits into the development of modern software applications. During the program, I noticed that our teams were having some difficulty capturing feedback during sprint demos and thought it would be interesting to explore the creation of an integrated mobile response tool to capture comments and ideas from demo participants within our project management software (JIRA).
Play the video below to see the commercial (promo) that I created as part of the final course in the UCSD program. This was a key component of our final exam. If you are interested in the story behind the app including the evolution of the idea, you can read more on medium.com (PDF version) and share the video from it's home on YouTube.
