I’m a UX and product design leader whose career began in education—an experience that continues to shape how I design, lead, and learn. My foundation in instructional design and learning theory taught me to look beyond interfaces and focus on how people understand, grow, and succeed. That mindset now informs how I design digital products that help users work smarter and organizations deliver meaningful outcomes.
Career Summary
With more than 20 years of experience in product design and digital innovation, I bring a proven record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive, user-centered solutions that balance business goals with measurable user outcomes.
My varied experience spans research, strategic interaction design, and responsive product development, with work that includes patient-centric redesigns for Johnson & Johnson’s Abiomed platform, the primary mobile app for AiTA’s glucose monitoring and insulin delivery system, and enterprise platforms for Novartis, Infor, and Deloitte where I contributed to improvements to the CortexAI QuickStart platform. Earlier work with Savi, Noregon, and ASR provided opportunities to apply my UX skills to supply chain and fleet management applications.
It has been my privilege to work with and frequently guide teams in applying design thinking and iterative UAT to create or refine experiences across hundreds of responsive layouts and to conduct workshops to realign workflows with user goals, I have generated dozens of heuristic reviews, user personas, journeys, and end-to-end workflows to identify usability gaps which have informed practical, prioritized project plans.
I thrive in collaborative, agile environments, learning from users and partnering with product owners, engineers, and other researchers to connect strategy to execution and delivery. I love being in the field, seeing how people interact with applications in their environment. Delights and frustrations are always more visible "out there".
I am a lifelong learner, currently expanding my understanding of accessibility and AI. My background in educational leadership adds depth to my ability to mentor teams, structure design processes, and communicate clearly across disciplines. I truly enjoy working with developers and I’m most energized when my teams are able to transform complex systems into intuitive user interfaces that combine user satisfaction with organizational success.
I have been a SAFe-Certified product owner/product manager and scrum master. I have designed and owned two software products which have reinforced my focus on creativity, innovation, and team alignment with clear goals on a product that works for my audience. I am an enthusiastic leader who enjoys sharing of ideas. I have have done so myself through presentations on UX topics at industry conferences and guest lectures at UNC-Greensboro and Wake Forest University.
